How the calculation works
Distance = average speed × elapsed time in hours. Use the total road distance and an assumed overall average speed. Traffic, stops, road routing and speed limits are not retrieved. Kilometres pair with km/h and miles with mph. Changing the selector labels existing inputs; it does not convert them. Durations round to the nearest second; other quantities round to at most six decimals (percentages to two). Nonzero subprecision values are identified.

Worked example: Average Speed = 72; Elapsed Time = "1 h 45 min"; Distance Unit = "kilometres". Result: 126 km.
Practical tip
Use an average speed for the entire entered duration rather than a brief peak speed.
