Delivery Route Cost Monthly Calculator
Estimate monthly delivery route spend from an entered cost per trip and a whole monthly trip count.
How to use Delivery Route Cost Monthly Calculator
1. Enter Cost Per Trip, Trips Per Month. 2. Use the full route distance, including depot and return legs if required. The fuel estimate excludes driver labour, loading time, vehicle costs and operating charges. A trip is defined by your entered fare/cost; a return trip is not automatically added. 3. Why use this tool?
Compare entered delivery route costs using the units and assumptions shown without fetching prices.
How the calculation works
Monthly cost = entered cost per trip × whole trips per month. Use the full route distance, including depot and return legs if required. The fuel estimate excludes driver labour, loading time, vehicle costs and operating charges. A trip is defined by your entered fare/cost; a return trip is not automatically added. Amounts use the selected currency’s standard minor units; halfway amounts round away from zero and nonzero subminor values are identified. Currency selection labels values without an exchange rate.
Example
Worked example (GBP): Cost Per Trip = 12.25; Trips Per Month = 24. Result: £294.00 per month.
Practical tip
If cost per trip is one-way, count both outward and return trips when both belong in the month.
Frequently asked questions
Does this assume a standard number of workdays?
No. Enter the monthly trip count you want to model. Zero trips gives zero spend; fractional trips are rejected.
Are prices, exchange rates or charges fetched?
Use the full route distance, including depot and return legs if required. The fuel estimate excludes driver labour, loading time, vehicle costs and operating charges. Select one currency for all amounts; changing it labels the figures without applying an exchange rate.
How are currency results rounded?
Exact entered decimal arithmetic is applied before display rounding to the selected currency’s standard minor units. Halfway amounts round away from zero; nonzero subminor amounts are identified. Per-distance results are rounded average rates, not a reconciled payment schedule.
