Hotel Stay Per-Night Calculator

For a hotel stay, calculate average cost per booked night from the amounts and counts you enter.

How to use Hotel Stay Per-Night Calculator

1. Enter Total Stay Cost, Nights. 2. Use the total hotel cost on a consistent room and occupancy basis. Breakfast, parking, taxes and other charges are included only when you put them in the total. Nights are a whole booked-night count, not an automatically derived calendar difference. 3. Select Calculate or press Enter. 4. Select Copy result to copy the answer, or Reset to clear the form and result.

Why use this tool?

Compare hotel stay plans with a clear cost scope and one currency.

How the calculation works

Average nightly cost = total stay cost ÷ positive whole nights. Use the total hotel cost on a consistent room and occupancy basis. Breakfast, parking, taxes and other charges are included only when you put them in the total. Nights are a whole booked-night count, not an automatically derived calendar difference. Amounts use the selected currency’s standard minor units; halfway amounts round away from zero and nonzero subminor values are identified. Currency selection labels values without an exchange rate.

Example

Worked example (GBP): Total Stay Cost = 480; Nights = 4. Result: £120.00 per night.

Practical tip

Define the total cost and night/day/group basis before comparing stays.

Frequently asked questions

Which hotel stay costs are included?

Use the total hotel cost on a consistent room and occupancy basis. Breakfast, parking, taxes and other charges are included only when you put them in the total.

Does the currency selector convert prices?

No. Enter all amounts in one currency. The selected currency labels and rounds the result without an exchange-rate conversion.

How should I use the rounded result?

The result is a rounded average in the selected currency. Multiplying rounded averages back by the count can differ from the total; it is not an individual payment allocation.
