How the calculation works

Progress = completed words ÷ total words × 100. The total must be positive. Use one consistent content measure; values above 100% are shown rather than clamped. A constant drafting rate does not model research, editing, revision, writer availability or quality. Percentages use up to two decimals, with scientific notation for tiny nonzero results. The denominator must be positive. Results above 100% are displayed rather than capped. Entered decimal arithmetic is applied before display rounding. Numeric inputs/results and durations in seconds are bounded by magnitude 9,007,199,254,740,991.

Example

Writing Target example: 600 words ÷ 2400 words × 100 = 25%.
